Frequently Asked Questions
If you notice that a question you have is not listed below, feel free to comment on this journal OR note the group. We will answer your question, and add it to the page! Can tuners ride ATs?
Yes, but only to get from point A to point B. They cannot ride competitively! However, they can intervene into battles if their rider needs emergency tuning or assistance with ATs.How do tuners tune from a distance?
No tuner tunes from a distance. When we said “can tune anywhere”, we were implying that they do not have to be in a special room to do the “fine tuning”, which is the A and King rank tuning with microsuits. This can be done anywhere the tuner and rider are. Lower level tuners can use their tools any place to tweak and condition ATs, but will not be able to use the microsuits (“SC suits”.)Will there be a pledge queen?
Yes, there is a pledge queen. Is there a TTT? (Tool Toul To)
Right now, no, TTT does not exist. What if a rider cannot find a tuner?
There is no time limit to when you will have to have a tuner, as we believe finding the right tuner is part of character development. Take your time, but eventually, you’ll need one to advance higher!Do I need to have a tuner?
Yes, and especially if you are higher ranking or plan to go higher. Everyone needs a tuner. Do all tuners have microsuits?
No, only Tuners ranked A or King-level have microsuits.Does this take place in japan?
Yes, a fictional city within japan. How can I become a king or queen?
Once you have ranked up to A rank, ONE RIDER
may call out a King or Queen and challenge them for their regalia/throne during the Parts War Tournament. Once you challenge them, they will either accept or deny the challenge. (Kings and Queens can only deny twice before being dethroned.) If you are the first person to have challenged them, then you get to face off with that King/Queen. The king/queen will then pick a contest style, and the battle with begin! Note:
Only one rider can challenge a king or queen. Teams can NOT challenge kings/queens. If a king or queen has a team and your team challenges their team, it does not count as challenging the king/queen themselves. You need to go it alone in order to win king/queen status. If a king/queen is in a team, and the team is challenged (not the king/queen), and the kings/queens team loses, does it affect their position as a king/queen?
No. Only if a single rider challenges the king/queen and wins, does it affect the king/queen’s position. What happens when a king/queen is dethroned?
You will either take their regalia (if that is what you were after) AND their throne, or just the throne/status of King. (If you have a custom road different from the king/queen’s, you will do this.) That King or Queen will then be knocked down to A rank, and you will take their place. If you challenge a team with a king/queen in it and win, do you get their regalia?
No. You need to challenge JUST the king or queen in order to get their regalia and throne. How will I pick a tuner, or a tuner pick me?
A rider and tuner will usually know right from the get go if they are meant to be a pair. You’ll have to search for that person that just clicks! Whether you meet them in RP, invite a friend of a friend, etc... you’ll find one! Do riders need a team right when they app, or can they app without a team but find one after they get accepted?
Joining a team, whether you join it before or after you apply and are approved into the group, is entirely up to you. Remember though, once you are rank C or above, you need to be on a team!Do tuners have ranks?
Yes! Tuners have ranks just like riders. Tuners may be the same rank as their rider OR one
rank above or below their riders. Tuners are capable of ranking up alone in order to match their rider (which is ideal). See events for more details on how Tuners can rank up.What happens in the case a team wants to challenge a solo rider?
Teams may only challenge teams, and solo riders may only challenge solo riders.Do gravity children exist?
No, for the sake of keeping things less complex, they do not exist in AB.Does the tuner have to be another character within the group?
Yup.Must the tuner have a rider before joining or they are allowed to join as a free tuner and gain partnership with a rider later?
You can apply with a tuner who already has a rider (if you are paired already with someone in the group), or you may apply as a solo tuner and find their partner later on. Either or is fine!If a solo rider joins a team do they stop using their own emblem or a mix?
They will now use the team’s emblem. Will tuners need emblems?
Yes, everyone but civilians needs an emblem. Can I have a rider become a tuner?
No. Unless you are a civilian, you can not "become" a tuner. Riders cannot suddenly decide to be a tuner. Can we follow roads of some of the kings/queens (even the custom ones?)
Yes, if your character is not a tuner, you can follow another road and pursue it later on! As long as they are NOT a tuner, you can do this. Remember though, only C or above can use a road, and only a king or queen may use regalia. Would a tuner be considered part of the team if their rider is in one?
Yes, the tuner would be part of the team. But during battles, the tuner does not fight or combat. Is it allowed to submit an application for two separate characters if say we want to play both a tuner and a storm rider? Like could I have a storm rider and a tuner who is partnered with the storm rider of another member? Maybe another storm rider on my team?
As of right now, members may only have one character. Good question though! What happens when I find my tuner/rider?
